Coach Fisher's Saturday training camp report

HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER, JULY 28, 2007

(on Michael Griffin’s first practice)

It was good. We didn’t anticipate any problems. He had a really good off-season so he is in really good shape. He worked hard and he is kind of disappointed that he missed a couple practices but he will pick up right where he left off. We are very pleased with what we see and the potential that he has.

NASHVILLE, TN, July 28, 2007 — No dropped snaps. Just a nice, long pass downfield from Vince Young to receiver Courtney Roby that brought cheers from the fans.

The Tennessee Titans opened training camp with Young showing everyone how much he has improved from a year ago when he struggled taking the snap from center in his first practice as a rookie.

NASHVILLE, TN, July 28, 2007 — While wide receiver David Givens would much rather be competing on the football field, he is putting his spare time to good use while recovering from a season-ending knee inury he suffered in 2006.

Givens is sharing his veteran knowledge with the team's younger receivers each day at Baptist Sports Park. It's his way of making a contribution until he can get back on the playing field.
